Remote online notary
On camera, identified, and only where the law allows it.
Remote online notarization is a live audio-video session. You prove your identity, sign electronically, and the notary applies an electronic seal. It is not available for every document or every location.
You will need
- A government photo ID that can pass identity proofing.
- A phone or computer with a camera, microphone, and a stable connection.
- A quiet place, and every signer who must appear on the session.
- The document in a form that can be signed electronically.
What can stop a session
- The signer is physically in a place where the notary cannot lawfully act.
- The document must be wet-ink, or a receiving party will not accept electronic notarization.
- Identity proofing fails, or the signer cannot be seen and heard clearly.
- Someone wants legal advice during the session. That is not part of the act.

A commissioned notary confirms the platform, the ID check, and whether your location allows the act.

Meet on the recorded session
You join by video, complete proofing, sign, and receive the notarized electronic document.
Request a remote session
If you answer no to the ID or the camera, send the request anyway. We would rather tell you it cannot proceed than start a session that will fail.
